Noel Coward in New York

"noel coward"

In the recently opened multi-media exhibition, Star Quality: The World of Noel Coward, curated by Brad Rosenstein, that focuses on Coward's 4-decade transatlantic career at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, there are manuscripts, paintings, set and costumes designs, costumes, personal memorabilia, and the original Hirschfeld drawing of 1941's Blithe Spirit. In addition to the drawing, there are nine banners of Hirschfeld drawings of Coward plays from an installation originally created for the Shaw Festival.

On Hirschfeld's drawing board, as you enter the library, will be a rotating series of full size reproductions of Hirschfeld drawings of Neol Coward and his plays.

We encourage you to run, not walk, to this great exhibition which is open until August 18th.
