Hirschfeld in Color
HIRSCHFELD'S BROADWAY SCRAPBOOK is a bloomin' success at the New York Botanical Garden. The exhibition of more than 50 drawings, prints, posters and programs that tell the story of Broadway from 1921 to 2002, is virtually a SRO affair, with record-breaking attendance to the Garden's LuEsther Mertz Library. This morning, the Garden posted this photograph of one section of the show that captures the riot of color to be found in the Broadway window cards featuring Hirschfeld drawings (most courtesy of the Triton Gallery).
